This 290 x 45mm H3 CCA Treated Pine, 3.0m length, is built for external, above-ground beams and high-load framing. H3 copper chrome arsenate treatment guards against decay, fungal attack and termites in exposed conditions. Straight, stable and easy to machine, it suits pergolas, verandahs and deck substructures with larger spans. Use galvanised or stainless steel fixings and exterior-grade coatings. Seal all cut ends with preservative to maintain protection. Not suitable for in-ground or marine exposure; select higher hazard classes where soil contact or immersion is required and confirm spans appropriately.
